Back to School Day! Let's get organized together
12 things parents must do before Back to School
9/6/20261 min read
The preparation we do before school starts can make a big difference in our children’s success.
Take a moment to ask yourself:
1-Do you have all your children’s school supplies ready?
2-Have you stocked up on essential food and household items so you don’t run out during those busy school days?
3-Did you attend the school orientation or back-to-school information session?
4-Have you visited the school and the school bus stop with your child?
5-Have you communicated with your child’s school administration?
6-Have you opened your parent platform/online school account and read the information about what is planned for the new school year?
7-Have you checked your school email?
8-Have you read the school newsletter?
9-Have you checked the school website for important dates, activities and announcements?
10-Have you already communicated with your child’s teacher? If not, make it a priority to connect with them as soon as possible.
11-Have you requested a day off from work so you can accompany your child on their first day of school, if possible?
12-Have you offered to volunteer or help at the school? Your presence and involvement can make a difference!
REMEMBER, PARENTS!
The first day of school is not the day to start preparing—it is the day to be ready.
When we are prepared, our children begin the school year with confidence, stability and a positive mindset.
Let’s not wait until problems arise before we become involved. Our children need us from Day One—and throughout the entire school year.
A prepared parent helps build a prepared child.
A prepared child is ready to learn, grow and succeed.
Let’s prepare today, support tomorrow, and build success together!
